Author Description

Pr. Sam Surendran has been in fulltime Christian Ministry for 22 years. His experiences have taken him to many parts of the world, including Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, Nepal, Singapore, Australia and the United States. 

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Southwestern Assemblies of God University, Waxahachie, Texas and a Bachelor of Theology with Christian Bible College. He also holds a Masters of Arts in Pastoral Leadership with Malaysian Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition he completed three years of theological studies in Christ For The Nations Institute in Dallas Texas, USA graduating with Diploma in Practical Theology and an Advance Diploma in Youth Leadership Studies.

He taught in Kolej Damansara Utama (KDU), Penang in the School of American Transfer Program, teaching Social Sciences and Humanity subjects for two years. He currently pastors Excel Point Community Church, a Baptist Congregation that reaches the community with multiple language services each week. This church runs two English, three Bahasa Malaysia-Indonesia, a Mandarin, Vietnamese and Nepali Services for the Community. He is married for 16 years with Susie Tan and blessed with two children, Jeremy Sean, 11 and Ashley May, 8.
